This is the Wimberley Process...
Picture the most technologically advanced gadget you own. Got it? For most, it’s probably an iPhone. With a staggering 19 billion transistors packed into a chip the size of a postage stamp, it’s a marvel of engineering. While many assume China’s manufacturing is just about volume and low cost, the truth is that a small percentage of products are truly cutting-edge. These top-tier items are often designed in high-quality countries—like, say, Texas (yes, we know it’s a state, but we think it should be its own country if you let us!).
Apple, for instance, sends engineers to China for meticulous quality control, spot-checking items to ensure top-notch standards. At Wimberley Arms, we take it a step further. We inspect every single gun, every time. Our commitment to quality is so strong that each gun must receive a green plastic tag, signed by a Wimberley employee, before it ships to the US.
In a world where products often feel disposable and everything seems to be a subscription, we set out to create an heirloom-quality shotgun that’s accessible to a range of budgets. While many brands offer subpar firearms, we chose to design our guns from the ground up. Our semi-automatic shotguns feature meticulously tested and refined gas systems for exceptional reliability and ergonomics. Our over/unders are crafted for perfect balance and weight, swinging like a 4-pound gun while enjoying the benefits of a 6-pound model, such as reduced recoil and muzzle rise.
Our accessories are tailored to our guns and other market offerings, addressing specific needs we’ve identified. For example, James, who loves 3-gun style shotguns, found the cost of a 7-round tube for a WA-4 to be excessive. So, we crafted an in-house solution that meets the demand at a more reasonable price.
When we say “designed,” we mean it—every detail, from initial sketches to metallurgy to fit and finish, undergoes numerous meetings and rigorous testing. Since our core lines launched, we’ve discontinued and redesigned multiple models not due to defects, but to enhance our lineup. These changes allow us to consolidate production and lower costs, making our shotguns more affordable for shooters.
Our latest innovations include the WT106 line with standard 32” ported barrels and about 40 other updates, from grip shapes to choke knurling. And the term “white label” doesn’t exist here. Our hats and merch are custom-made, not just embroidered on someone else’s product.
Experience a Wimberley shotgun and discover the dedication and craftsmanship we bring to every piece. We’re confident you’ll love both the gun and the brand.
