This is the Wimberley Process...

Think about the most technically advanced thing you own… have it in your head? Now ask yourself where it’s made. For most people this object is most likely going to be your iPhone. #bluebubblesforlife There are 19 BILLION Transistors in the Apple A17 Chip, 19 Billion things that need to fit in a 1cmx1cm space with slightly more height than a single strand of hair.

Everyone assumes China has cheap manufacturing… and for 95% of products they do. But that other 5% is absolutely cutting edge. This is because these products are designed by people in high quality countries, like in our case – Texas. (We know it’s a state but we really should be a country if the rest of y’all didn’t get in the way.) Apple also sends engineers to China to regularly quality control their products and manufacturing lines. Apple spot checks items in a batch for tolerances but we check every single gun, every time. Our manufacturing agreement requires a signature from a Wimberley employee on a green plastic tag in order for a gun to ship to the US.

In this day and age where every product is single-use or handful of uses before it is waste and everything is basically a subscription – we wanted to create an heirloom quality shotgun that is accessible to people of all price ranges. There are hundreds of shotgun and firearm brands that make poor quality guns, our shop even has a blacklist of some of them, but we took a different approach by designing our guns from the ground up. On our semi-auto line, we tested and modified the gas systems on each model to work exactly the way we wanted with supreme reliability and the best ergonomics. Our over/unders were designed from scratch with balance and weight being the focus. We wanted a 6 pound gun to swing like 4 pounds while keeping the benefits of a 6 pound gun like recoil absorption and muzzle rise. Our accessories are designed to fit our guns and other guns on the market and to fit a niche that we felt needed attention. Personally, James likes 3-gun style shotguns but paying $200+ for a 7 round tube on a WA-4 is outrageous so we made one in-house that addresses that demand at a more approachable price. We didn’t put the guns in CAD and run a bunch of tests, we built iteration after iteration and ran them hard to see where we could improve.

When we say designed, we mean from the original sketches to the metallurgy to the fit and finish aspects – it all had countless meetings and tests until it reached the end product that it is. Since launching our core line, we have discontinued and re-designed multiple models. These changes aren’t because of defects but of ways we could improve our line-up. Discontinuing allows us to consolidate and brings down the cost to produce which allows a lower entry price for the shooter. Our re-design is sometimes because of feature adding like our all-new WT106 line with standard 32″ ported barrels. We also made about 40 other model changes from grip shape, palm swell, fiber size, choke knurling, stock weighting and other badass features that guns 3x as much don’t have. The words “white label” doesn’t exist in our company. Even our hats and some of our merch is custom made, not embroidery on someone else’s product.

Try a Wimberley and see where the labor of love has brought us. We promise that you’ll love the gun and the brand.
